		Motorized Positioners DMY Actuators Miniature Actuators The DMY series of motorized miniature actuators are micrometer replacements, which are driven by the MINI-5D servo controller. The special brushless motor design with encoder enables high resolution to within 0.25 microns and repeatability to within 3 microns.


		The DMY miniature actuators are available in 10, 15 and 25 mm of travel. These precision actuators can move at speeds up to 2mm per second and have a load capacity of 3kg. The actuators have a stopper and a limit sensor to prevent mechanical damage caused by over travel. The actuator has a 9.5mm micrometer fitting and will replace micrometers in most standard stages and mirror mounts.


		Two Axis Controller The MINI-5D servo controller when used with DMY miniature actuators offers a low cost reliable system for remote motorized control of stages and mirror mounts. The MINI-5D controller will drive and display the position of two mini actuators simultaneously. Adjustments can be made to each by using a manual joystick or by PC.


		The controller has a built in joystick for manual control of two actuators. By changing the angle of the joystick, velocity can be adjusted linearly. The joystick allows adjustment of the velocity to a single pulse when required for sub-micron movement. GP-IB and RS232C interfaces are provided for control by PC as the main control method.
